Map Making & Pathfinding
Connecting dots <-> closing gaps
Where are you headed?
All progress begins by telling the truth. That means taking an accurate look at your results and getting crystal clear on the steps required to achieve your desired outcome.
If only it were as easy as following ‘the yellow brick road’ to the ‘Emerald City’.
Sure, that makes for movie magic and selling snake oil ‘hacks’ in books & bottles…
But if you have the courage to take the long view, complete with a big picture understanding of what it will take to go all the way…
In order to get absolute clarity on where you stand in relation to your goals, and take responsibility for everything that got you to this point…
Recognize, you are the sum total of:
the Decisions you’ve made
the Questions you ask yourself
the time you take to Reflect
the Data you collect
the quality of the Feedback you receive
Your feedback loop (positive & negative) and how quickly you respond to it so you can constantly course correct is an essential part to getting to where you really want to be.
That also includes WHO you’re bringing with you…
This text I sent to my wife inspired a much deeper conversation around what I’m “passionate about” versus what I am TRULY COMMITTED to.
It’s that time of year, but whenever you might read this, I hope you stop and consider some of the doodles & decisions you’re making which will affect the direction your business will take for years to come.
My mission is to create clarity through visual thinking that helps leaders make high-leverage decisions.
The vision for my company is to DRAW OUT the best in people to solve BIG problems for a share of the profit.
And my plan for achieving it will be to focus on:
Graphic Recording investment conferences & masterminds so attendees can focus on doing deals and building relationships instead of scribbling notes they’ll never look at again
Visually Facilitating strategic off-sights and “Envisioneering” profitable projects for Fortune 500 companies (currently working with Boeing)
Illustrating business books and co-creating “visually valuable” courses with authors/experts I believe in
In short: Identify where you are and filter for “commitment” instead of “interest” to take you further toward your desired end state.
Here’s to a big red arrow to help you find yourself on your personal map and some encouragement on your journey to success!
